Job Description:
This position has two primary areas of responsibility which include prepress for various output devices as well as print operation on various output devices. Ability to multi-task and problem-solve in this fast paced work environment is a requirement.
Prepress:
All aspects of file prep. This includes preflight, font application, bleed setup, expert color correction (both raster and vector), pantone color matching, troubleshooting problem files, postscripting, color management/profiling, etc. Prep files for final print with excellent attention to detail to ensure sizes, colors, crops, bleed, tiles, etc are correct and ready for finishing. Specific expert file prep includes setting files up for banners (hems, pole pockets, etc) as well as complex vehicle graphics and router cutting.
Some layout/typesetting and in-house design projects.
Print:
Various output device operation including:
• 87” and 120” solvent printers
• 80” UV flatbed printer
• 4000 dpi photo imaging
• 60” aqueous inkjet printer
• 64” plotter cutter
Some heavy lifting applies (up to 50 lbs).
Requirements:
Expert knowledge of standard graphics programs (specifically Abode CS3).
Ability to work on both a Mac and a PC.
Experience in prepress and print a HUGE plus.
Operation of various RIP programs a plus.
Professional and effective communication skills.
Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to work overtime.
Follow direction well and report to Supervisor daily.
Self-motivated team player, hard worker, problem solver with a love of large-scale digital graphics is key!
