Shift/Hours:
FT Day with overlap hours to production swing shift (~8:30 am to 5 pm)
Job Description:
This position has two primary areas of responsibility and ownership: designing and assuring the appropriate flow of work through production, and acting as a resource for quality assurance on all jobs produced.
The TQA Coordinator is responsible for initial scheduling of all work; tracking, maintaining, and reporting status of all jobs as they move through the plant. This position acts as a liaison between sales, CSR’s, project managers, and production concerning a job’s turn and status. The Traffic/QA Coordinator must be able to communicate internally effectively, with clients regarding file structure in preflight, and schedule and meet with clients to conduct external QC’s. This position is “one-stop shopping” for answers regarding timing on all jobs, communicating with various representatives in production to keep a finger on the pulse of the current workflow and its constant state of flux.
The TQA also ensures the quality of all work is appropriate before it leaves the plant, and at various checkpoints throughout the process, to increase client satisfaction and repeat jobs while decreasing revenue lost to rework. The responsibility to recognize and correct errors, while in everyone’s role all the way along, is a job requirement, expectation, and focal point of this position and its satisfactory performance.

The ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing
Work closely with the sales, CSR’s, Project managers, purchasing, and managers of the prepress, print, display, packaging, installation and shipping departments
An ability to mediate the concerns of both the client and production arena effectively, and come up with win/win compromises/solutions;
Make and communicate decisions regarding priority of jobs in workflow based on daily assessment of scheduled jobs;
Possess knowledge of print and display processes and capabilities;
Initiative to constantly strive to develop ways to improve quality and job turn communication
Employ excellent attention to detail to match client expectations with results;
Have an unwavering commitment to quality as defined by BIGink standards
Basic Excel skills strongly recommended
Basic preflight skills strongly recommended, or appropriate background in various current layout programs so can train
Key Responsibilities:
The TQA Coordinator:
Leads all production meetings
Maintains production calendar
Schedules jobs
Communicates changes, priorities, etc to all pertinent production key contacts
Key player in meetings regarding large projects
Ensures that all jobs meet their turn times, and that all scheduled turn times are current
Works with Sales to bring resolution to jobs on long-term hold in a timely fashion
Quality checking all jobs at key production transition points
Designing and providing a tracking system for QC approval
Tracking, reporting on all rework
Working with department heads to reduce rework through awareness, training, and systems/procedures identification and development
Key player in onboarding new clients.
